About the Artist
Hannah Radford is a contemporary New Zealand artist from Auckland, NZ. Her journey into the arts began with a First Class Honours degree in Art History from the University of Otago. This academic foundation was further enriched by her subsequent career in the interiors industry in Auckland, London and Sydney. This experience fostered a deep fascination with how our environment impacts our lives, our feelings, and our overall wellbeing. What began as a personal creative pursuit, stemming from years of learning through diverse creative classes in ceramics, life drawing, floristry and mark-making, has organically evolved into a dedicated artistic career.
Hannah's work explores the joy and satisfaction found in simplicity, the blurring of boundaries between painting and sculpture and the push and pull between control and spontaneity. She is also deeply interested in the alchemy of colour, its psychology and how it can instantly shift our emotional state.
